Sunday, 9:15 a.m.
Adult Sunday School occurs between services from October to May. Topics include scripture studies, current events, support topics (e.g. grief and loss) and book studies. These two to four week classes are taught by the priest or adult volunteers. Participants have grown from a core group of eight to thirty five. On Thursday mornings, Good Shepherd has also supported a Men’s Bible Study group. Recent self-study has shown a strong interest from our parishioners in year-round Sunday School, Women’s and Co-ed Bible Studies, as well as other small study and support groups.
April 8 - April 29, The Healing Light by Agnes Sanford
Jesus often told his disciples to love their enemies and to forgive those who hurt them. This seems to be such an impossible commandment, as difficult now as two thousand years ago; however, Agnes Sanford, the wife of an Episcopal priest, learned through her life and healing ministry why Jesus’ directive was so critical. She discovered that forgiveness and healing are one. She came to believe that only love can generate a healing fire! She finally realized that God works through us, more than for us, to relieve the suffering of our world. She taught that God can use all of us to bless our planet if we only will learn to pray as Jesus did. Come join us for four weeks to study the principles and practices of Jesus’ powerful prayers. Discussion led by Lawson Kelly.
