Our ELL (English Language Learners) is on Mondays at 6 p.m. We are expecting a larger crowd this year and are in need of more volunteers with our children’s activities, including assisting with their homework. We gather every Monday night with dinner beginning at 6 pm followed by class and children’s activities. Please call Carroll Summerour (828-877-5383) or Eleanor Welling (743-5697) if you have any questions or would like to volunteer.

The adult education class on Spirituality and the Twelve Steps using Breathing Under Water by Richard Rohr, led by Sharon Stricker, on Mondays at 11:00 a.m.
Lectionary Bible Study Wednesdays at 1 p.m. in the Adult Ed room. All are welcome as we study the Scripture lessons for the upcoming Sunday.
Men’s bible study continues in September, Thursdays at 9 a.m., discussions led by Fr. Rob on the Gospel of Matthew.
Women’s Book and Bible Study, Thursdays in September at 11 a.m., discussion led by Erin Maxfield-Steele. We will be exploring spiritual practices. This class will offer new ways to acknowledge the presence of the Holy Spirit in our day-to-day lives and in hopes of strengthening our walks with Christ.
Children's Chapel is at 11 am service. What this means is that our children will come to church at 11 and sit with their families and then go with Rob or Erin to the old library for their own lessons, prayers, and crafts. At the peace, they will return to sit with their families for communion. If you have questions, speak to Rob or Erin.
11 am music additions: Lee Ladensack and some of the summer chapel band will play parts of the music in, before, and maybe after the service. We hope this creates an opportunity for a variety of music and a time to try some of the hymns we want to add to our supplemental song book.
