Mission
We acknowledge our church community’s strengths and weaknesses, and are blessed with a beautiful and historic place in which to worship. We are committed to living and sharing the type of life that Christ commands:
To reflect God’s love through our faith in action! After a 6 month process earlier this year the Vestry adopted a new mission statement last month:
“To reflect God’s love through our Faith in Action” In order to live into this mission, we plan to have table conversations at our Parish meeting next Wednesday, Oct 2 (5:00) focused on what God is calling us to do or become over the next 5 or so years. In preparation for this we ask that you each give this some prayerful thought and come to the Parish meeting prepared to share your ideas and to listen to others as they share theirs. To help you prepare, here are a few examples of “desired outcomes” that have been mentioned in our process thus far. Some of these may build on what we’re already doing and others may be new.
If you are unable to come to the Parish meeting, we invite you to send in your ideas to Ellen by email. Sincerely, Rob, Irv & the Vestry |
