We welcome you to Good Shepherd!

We’ve been praying and serving in Cashiers since 1878, and we hope you will join in our worship and ministry.

Our mission is ‘to reflect God’s love through our faith in action.’  We do that in Sunday worship with prayer, song, scripture and sermon. We are guided in worship by the traditions of Christians in ages past and the Book of Common Prayer. The service itself has two parts that feed spiritually: The Word and The Table. The Word of God is shared by reading Holy Scripture, singing hymns, through sermon and through prayer. At the Table (altar), we remember how Jesus broke bread with His disciples, and we do the same do be in communion with Him and with each other.

From May-October, we have three services a Sunday: 8, 9:30 and 11 am. From November – April, services are held at 9 am and 11 am, with Sunday school in-between and a time of fellowship and food afterwards at 12 noon.

As a parish in the Diocese of Western North Carolina, we stay connected to our neighbors in fellowship and service. We have over 40 outreach partners, assist 40+ college students with scholarships, teach English classes twice a week during both a Fall and a Spring semester.

We have people of all ages and many walks of life, and we hope you will come and join us one way or another. If you have any questions, please call us at 828-743-2359 or fill out the form below. We’d love to have you join us on the journey with our Good Shepherd.
